# Trim and Cut Videos Automatically or Manually

> Trim videos in Captions with AI to auto-remove pauses and filler words, or manually drag handles to trim shots, overlays, and music tracks on the timeline.

## Overview

Automatically remove pauses and "uhms" from your video, or manually trim your video, overlays, and music track.

## Automatically Trim

To automatically trim your video:

1. From the bottom navigation, tap **AI Trim**
2. Review each segment and adjust the trim accordingly
3. Tap **Trim** to apply

<Tip> You can also trim your video immediately after importing, before making your language selections.</Tip>

## Manually trim

To manually trim your shots, overlays, or music:

1. Select your item in the timeline
2. Drag the right/left handles of the selected item to trim it
