# Exporting Your Video

> Download the open project as MP4 or as a captions-only ProRes file.

**Download** is in the top right of the editor.

**1. Open Download**

Select **Download**. The menu is where you set the file before the export starts.

**2. Choose a format**

| Format | What you get |
| - | - |
| MP4 | The picture, audio, captions, and graphics together. |
| ProRes 4444 (Captions Only) | A captions render you can composite elsewhere. |

**3. Set the frame rate**

The frame rate control includes 30 FPS. Match it to the source when you need the export to stay on the same cadence.

**4. HDR**

Smart HDR is available when the source supports it. The switch stays off when the footage does not.

**5. Download the video**

Select **Download video**. The file saves to your computer. The project stays in the sidebar, so you can change it and export again.

To hand someone a link instead of a file, use **More options** → **Create share link**. See [Interface overview](https://captions.ai/help/web/get-started/interface-overview.md).
