# Sound

> Add stock sound effects or import your own onto the timeline.

**Sound** on the tool rail is for effects: whooshes, hits, and other short audio. The panel heading is **Sounds**.

* **Import sound** adds a file.
* **Stock** lists effects you can preview and drop on the timeline.
* **Library** keeps sounds you have already added.

Place the effect under the frame it belongs to. Trim it on the timeline so it ends with the motion.
