AI Ads is the fastest path from a product to a finished video ad. Paste your product URL, and Captions automatically generates a script, populates product details, and produces a UGC-style video with an AI avatar, ready to run as a paid ad or post organically. This guide walks through the full process, including how to refine the output before exporting.

Step 1: Open AI Ads

In the Captions app, tap AI CreatorAI Ads. On Web, select AI Ads from the project options.

Step 2: Paste your product URL

Enter the URL of your product page, landing page, or e-commerce listing. Captions scrapes the page and auto-populates:
  • Product name
  • Description
  • Images from the page
The scraper works best on clean product pages with a clear title, description, and product images. If your page is mostly JavaScript-rendered or behind a login, you may need to fill in the details manually.

Step 3: Review and edit product details

Check the auto-populated fields before proceeding. This is where most people skip a step and end up with a mediocre ad.
  • Product name: make sure it’s what you actually call the product, not an SEO-optimized title
  • Description: trim it down to the 1–2 most compelling selling points. Less is more.
  • Images: remove any images that look off or too generic. Add better ones if you have them.

Step 4: Review and edit the script

Captions generates a full UGC-style script automatically. Read it carefully and ask:
  • Does the hook actually stop the scroll? If not, rewrite the first line.
  • Is the problem clearly stated in language your audience uses?
  • Is the CTA specific? (“Go to the link in bio” is fine. “Click” is vague.)
  • Does it sound human? Edit out anything that sounds robotic or over-formal.
The script is the single most important factor in ad performance. Spend a minute here. A stronger script compounds into dramatically better results.

Step 5: Choose your avatar

Select an avatar from the community library, or use your AI Twin to put your own face on the ad. For paid ads, consider your audience: choose an avatar that looks like your target customer. People respond more to content that reflects them.

Step 6: Generate

Tap Generate. The video generates in the background. You’ll be notified when it’s ready.

Step 7: Review and refine

Watch the full output before exporting. Common things to fix:
  • Pacing: if the avatar feels rushed or has awkward pauses, edit the script and regenerate
  • Image overlays: swap out any auto-placed images that don’t look right. Tap the overlay → Replace
  • Add captions: critical for paid social. Go to the caption editor and generate captions from the delivered audio

Step 8: Export

Export at 1080p vertical (9:16) for social. Name your file something descriptive for when you’re uploading to your ad manager.

Running this as a paid ad

A few things worth knowing before you launch:
  • All videos generated with AI Ads are cleared for commercial use.Terms
  • Vertical (9:16) works on all major platforms: TikTok, Meta (Reels placement), YouTube Shorts
  • Add a text overlay with the CTA: many platforms show ads without sound, and a visual CTA in the frame improves conversion
  • Test multiple scripts. Generate 2–3 variations with different hooks before deciding which to put spend behind.
