Waveform is selected when you open the tool. The status line reads: “Pause playback and finish cropping to refresh scopes.” Pause, finish a crop, then read the scope again.
To change the image, use an effect on a layer or an effect layer, then check the scopes again.
Color Scopes
Read waveform, parade, vectorscope, and histogram while you judge exposure and color.
Color on the tool rail opens scopes. These meters describe the frame. They do not grade the picture by themselves.
