The iPhone app and Captions for Web share the same account. Web is where you compose a project from Home, then finish it in an editor with a timeline, layers, and chat. If you are coming from the desktop app, see Moving from Desktop to Web. For the iPhone app itself, see iOS.

What stays familiar

What you do on Web

Web projects are created from the Home composer, then opened in the editor.
  • The left sidebar lists projects, folders, Avatars, Library, and My Edit Styles.
  • Chat can restyle, cut, caption, and generate media inside a project. Pick a model next to the message field. See AI chat.
  • The tool rail adds media, music, voiceover, sound, text, shapes, effect layers, color scopes, and project settings.
  • Caption templates and edit styles are separate. A caption template controls how words look. An edit style is the treatment for the whole video.
Record on iPhone when you want the camera, then open the project on Web when you want the timeline, chat, and export options side by side.
